Windows XP Lite is a modified version of Windows XP which was launched in the early 2000s. It is a stripped-down version of the original Windows XP, designed to run on low-end hardware and with limited functionality.
The Windows XP Lite version comes with a number of features removed, such as certain services, drivers, and applications, to make it run faster on older or less powerful hardware. This version of Windows XP is also known for its smaller file size, making it easier to install and run on machines with limited storage space.

To run Windows XP Lite, your device should meet certain requirements. The specifications required to run this version of Windows are generally lower than those required for the original Windows XP, but you will still need a compatible device. Some of the common requirements include a minimum of 64MB of RAM, a Pentium III processor or higher, and at least 1GB of free hard disk space.

Requirements:

  • Limbo PC emulator. (Click here to Download)
  • ZArchiver. (Available in Playstore)
  • FX File Explorer. (Available in Playstore)
  • Windows XP Lite Image File.

Method:

Installation of required apps and files:

  • Install all the required apps for the tutorial like Limbo PC , ZArchiver and VNC viewer.
  • Download the Windows XP Lite image file from the above link. 

Download Windows image file:

  • Download  the Windows XP Lite image file from the above link, The image file will be in zip file.

Extraction of Image File:

  • After downloading the image file, open the ZArchiver app and open the downloads folder.
  • Here you will find 7z file of Windows, Select the file and click on extract button.
  • It will take around 10-15 minutes to extract the file.
  • Extraction time depends upon the processing power of your phone so timings may vary.
  • After extraction is completed, you will get 700 Mb of vhd file of Windows XP Lite, so make sure you have enough storage space in your device.

Configuration of Limbo PC for Windows XP Lite:

  • Now go to Limbo PC, Select New option under Load Machine, Give the name as Windows XP Lite.
  • It will ask you to search for downloadable OS, click on cancel.
  • Go below, and select the following settings.
  • Architecture - x86
  • Machine type - PC
  • CPU Model - Pentium III
  • CPU Cores - 1
  • RAM Memory - 64
  • Enable MTTCG option.
  • Now go below and Select the Hard Disk Aoption.
  • Click on open option and Select the Windows XP Lite VHD file from Downloads folder.
  • Now go below and set the following options.
  • Video display - vmware
  • Sound card - adlib
  • Network - user
  • Network card - pcnet
  • Enable the high priority option


Booting up Windows XP Lite:

  • After all the options are selected, now it's time to click on play button.
  • Booting process depends on the processor your phone has.
  • It might take around 5-10 minutes to boot as it is a stripped-down version of Windows XP.
  • It might not come with all the features but it will give you the feel of running Windows XP Lite on Android.

Conclusion:
